ABOUT
Darcy Vescio is an Australian footballer and creative. Born in Wangaratta to Chinese and Italian parents, Darcy grew up in the small country town of Markwood outside of Wangaratta. They made the move to Melbourne after finishing high school to pursue a career in design. They competed a furniture design degree in 2014 and in 2017 played in Carlton’s Inaugural AFLW team. In 2026 they will enter their 11th season of AFLW.
In 2024, Darcy plunged into the art world creating their first solo art show ‘That Sack of Air’ which explored the intricacies and silliness of Australian Rules football.
They designed the 2025 AFLW Pride round ball, creating history as the first player to play with a ball they have designed.
